Nestled on the shores of beautiful Lake Norman, Troutman offers great opportunities for that much-desired waterfront living. Constructed in the 1960s, Lake Norman has become a highly popular recreation destination in North Carolina. People from all over the state and the country come here for outdoor activities on both water and on land, including fishing, boating, hiking, hunting, and wildlife watching.
With a surface area of over 50 square miles and shoreline of 520 miles, Lake Norman spans several towns and cities in southwest North Carolina, just minutes away from the bustling city of Charlotte. The proximity of the lake and the Queen City has made the communities around Lake Norman highly sought-after by homebuyers, and Troutman is no exception.
Troutman is one of the fastest-growing communities in Lake Norman, as more and more people discover the town’s distinctly small-town charm and convenient location. Waterfront homes are the top preference of buyers, both as primary residences and getaway homes.
Fortunately, you’ll find plenty of options here in Troutman. Many waterfront homes are found in upscale subdivisions that offer fantastic amenities and better security. Here’s a look at some of these communities:
