Known as “Lake Norman’s Front Porch,” Troutman is a town nestled in Iredell County, about 35 miles north of Charlotte. The town covers a total area
of approximately two square miles, and is home to more than 2,500 permanent residents.
Located in the Carolina Piedmont, the town of Troutman has a rich history, with roots going back as far as the 1750s. At the time, a large number of immigrants from Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey were the very first residents to take advantage of the sprawling lands in North Carolina’s Piedmont region.
